Great place we stumbled across with a local feel! Went in to grab a drink and ended up staying a while! The decor and key theme is really cool! Bartenders are super friendly and inviting! Michigan craft beer and definitely get the Rum Runner! It's amazing! And cheap and strong!! Boyfriend decided to have a burger and he said it was one of the best he has had in a long time! Be sure to check it out next time you are in Mackinaw City! We will definitely be back!

Excellent service and great food. Malina was our server and she was great.... had the chicken quesadilla and took 2 slices home. Very filling. Bf had the wilbur burger and was great! Fast and cool place. We come here everytime we are in mackinac.

The place where locals go. Expect hot, fresh bar fare served with typical Northern Michigan hospitality. Chicken wings are a specialty!

Looks like a dive bar but the food and service were good. The walleye was wonderful, my husband had the ribeye which was cooked how he liked it but under seasoned and chewy. Fries were hot and yummy. All in all we would eat there again and I'd recommend the walleye all day!

My wife and I checked out the menu of every place in Mackinaw City, and chose this place because it looked like it had some healthier options. We were not expecting much, as Mackinaw City isn't exactly a food town. We were very pleasantly surprised. I had the beef with barley soup as my starter, and while it was humbly presented alongside saltine crackers, it was excellent. My wife started with a cup of chili, which was also above average. We each had whitefish: mine broiled, hers blackened. The blackened was better, but both were very good. The baked potatoes were, well, baked potatoes. The accompanying side salads were your basic iceberg salads, but also done well. Their wine list isn't anything special, but the glass of cab I had was quite drinkable. The beer list is pretty great. There is also a full bar. There are also pool tables and TV's showing sports games, that type of thing. But it's a large enough place that you can get away from the bar feel, and go have yourself a nice, quiet dinner.

Great surprise. Parmesan crusted white fish was prepared perfectly. Would definitely stop again when coming through town.

Decent food. Disappointed with the wait staff because our waitress asked us if fries were okay with our orders, without telling ya that they were extra. We got charged $3.49 for a side salad that I thought came with the wrap. Absolutely ridiculous. She should have told us all the sides were extra once she suggested and asked what we wanted! I wasn't going to even order a side. Otherwise, decent place. Good wraps. Chicken salad wrap was awesome and the chicken chipotle was great too, just very spicy.

If you appreciate eating where the locals do this is the place! Fun and friendly atmosphere! Chipotle chicken wrap needs the ranch dressing to quell the heat... Very good! As well as both the perch and whitefish sandwiches! You will not be disappointed! Melena was an attentive server!

Excellent fish sandwiches, with LARGE portions of fish. My husband had fried perch sandwich and I had fried white-fish sandwich which both were very good. We decided on our next trip we would get the dinner instead of the sandwich, as the fish was so good. Only complaint was I wanted my whitefish baked or broiled, but they would only serve it that way if you got the dinner. Great food, great price, and very friendly staff. Most of the area 'attraction' restaurants we found to be overpriced for the amount and quality of the food, however the Key Hole was a GREAT find, thanks to others reviews on yelp.

The fish was good but my salad was wilted and starting to turn black when I didn't eat it the bartender didn't ask if anything was wrong with it she just took it away but my bloody mary was excellent.

I would have liked to give this place a 5-star review especially being in a town of 2 star joints (except pizza palace: 4 stars!) but unfortunately I am giving it a 2. And only because of the bartender. If it weren't for him I would have rated this none. While the decor seems like a perfect dive bar tucked away near Mackinaw Island it is staffed with rude employees with the exception of above. Bring your ID because you may be in for dinner and drinks one night and served perfectly fine without being asked for ID and then the very next night go out for a birthday and someone in your party not have theirs on them...that person will not be served thanks to the owners daughter. While then having the bus boy use his authority to put you in your place. No need for pettiness just trying to enjoy vacation. Will unfortunately not be returning.

Went to the Keyhole Bar & Grill 15 years ago and had what I remember to be the best burger EVER. Just had a chance to go back (Jan. 2013) and my memory was not wrong had that exact same great burger. Also had some of the best light golden onion rings I can remember. Service was excellent and atmosphere fun. In the middle of winter there are not many choices in Mackinaw City, if I had it to do over again I would have gone to The Keyhole both nights I was in town and skipped Dixie Saloon.

Came here during a trip with co-workers. The interior is pretty neat and actually cleaner than I had expected. Ordered ribs & perch combo. Really good! It's a nice stop in Mackinaw City.
